Bioinformatics Open Days 2015

Call for Contributions

The Bioinformatics Open Days Committee invites authors willing to share their research in Bioinformatics or Computational Biology to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentation.

The deadline for submissions is over.

 Contribution Topics

Topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:

  • Analysis and processing of Next Generation Sequencing data;
  • Sequence analysis methods and tools, including sequence alignment, homology searching, motif discovery, gene finding, etc. ;
  • Model/network optimization/inference algorithms and tools;
  • Proteomics, transcriptomics, metabolomics or other omics data analysis;
  • Metabolic/regulatory/signaling models or networks reconstruction and analysis;
  • Simulation methods for different types of biological models;
  • Biological data visualization;
  • Functional Genomics;
  • Evolutionary Computation and other metaheuristics applied to biological optimization problems;
  • Cellular Interactions;
  • Data mining/machine learning algorithms and tools for biological data analysis;
  • Phylogenetic analysis;
  • In silico drug discovery.

Guidelines  

Abstract

  • All abstracts must be submitted no later than 8st March 2015)
  • All abstracts must be submitted in English;
  • All abstracts are limited to 350 words;
  • All abstracts must be submitted in PDF format (a template can be found here);
  • All abstracts must include names and affiliations of all authors and full contact details (including e-mail address) of one selected corresponding author.
